TADACT relies on the generosity and involvement of community members to enable us to continue to provide independence to people in Canberra and the surrounding region.
There are many ways in which members of the general community can support and be involved with TADACT:
- Student Internships / Work Experience
- Participation in TADACT Events
Your generous support in the form of donations helps TADACT to continue to provide assistive equipment, which enables independence and improves the lives of children with developmental delay, children and adults with a disability and older people.
You can donate online by clicking here.
All donations of $2 and over are tax deductible and will be issued with a receipt.
TADACT greatly appreciates your generosity.
As a not-for-profit charity TADACT relies upon the support, time and effort of the community to assist with fundraising activities.
Whether you’re already a keen supporter of TADACT or looking to help improve the lives of those in your community, organising and participating in fundraising can be a fun and very rewarding experience.
Whilst TADACT is a registered NDIS provider, not all of our clients are enrolled in the scheme. Every dollar raised helps to fund projects and reduce the financial strain on non-NDIS clients as well as assisting TADACT to remain operational so our valuable work can continue.
Please contact us to discuss how you can support TADACT in our fundraising efforts.
Sponsorship is a fantastic opportunity for your business, company or organisation to build brand awareness while supporting the invaluable work undertaken by TADACT.
Corporate sponsorship helps us to continue to improve our clients’ quality of life by enabling independence. By forming a partnership with TADACT, your organisation can contribute to encouraging an inclusive, supportive and empathetic community that rallies around people with disabilities and older people.
Please contact us to discuss ways in which your organisation can sponsor TADACT.
Skilled volunteers, such as structural, mechanical and electrical engineers; draftsmen; metal-workers and people with general handyman and sewing skills have been supporting the work of TADACT since its beginnings in 1979.
Our volunteers contribute many hours of expertise towards designing, creating and refurbishing products for TADACT clients. They are the foundation upon which the organisation is built and TADACT simply couldn’t operate without them.
TADACT is always looking for skilled volunteers to join our team.
Read more about volunteering for TADACT here, or contact us to discuss your skills set.
You can help TADACT continue our valuable work by remembering us in your will.
A bequest is a legacy left, made out to TADACT, but benefitting the wider community. Simply nominating your bequest to us now will cost you nothing, but the work your generous gift will allow us to accomplish later when your Estate is distributed will further enable independence for people with a disability and for older people.
If you are looking to leave a bequest to TADACT we suggest including the following wording in your will: “I leave to Technical Aid to the Disabled ACT (TADACT), 27 Mulley Street Holder ACT 2611, for its general Purposes ………. (insert the sum of money, portion of Estate or description of property) for receipt of its Treasurer or other proper officer shall be sufficient discharge to my Executors.”
